  1. I have Dazzle Instant DVD recorder, but I need help.

I have burned a disk that went very well and also burned a VHS tape to my hard drive so that I could edit it.

It is in a folder on my hard drive called VIDEO_TS and in this folder are many files with extension of VOB, IFO, BUP etc. I have no idea what to do next to be able to play them. I have Windows VISTA 64 bit and am using software that came with my windows to view the DVD’s but it says files are not supported.

I am so confused. I want to take all my VHS tapes and put them on DVD, but I would like to edit them first.

To burn you files to a DVD, first locate them, for this I am using Nero Essentials, click add and then add all the files in the video_ts folder, then click "next", then choose your dvd burner if it's not listed, and click "burn". Almost all the software I encounter is much the same. If you just want to play the vobs files you should be able to do so using windows media player, divx player, power dvd, and others. If you have a linear editor such as vegas movie studio, you can just import the vob files right onto the time line for editing. Is there something else you are more interested in doing?

  5. By editing I mean cutting out commercials on some

Also, when I put our VHS home videos on disk I want to be able to put more than one VHS on one disk (since they are not all full) . The way the Dazzle works is once I click stop recording (so that I could change tapes) it automatically starts to burn it.

The only software I have is what came with Windows Vista, Photoshop, and I do have a very old Nero that is not installed.

I got a warning when I tried to install my Nero 6 Ultimate on my Vista PC when I got it, after some research it appears installing old versions of Nero on Vista PCs is a bad idea. I am wondering if Pinnacle's VHS to DVD would be a better method than what you are using. Do you have a DVD-Ram option that would leave an editable file (*.vro). Is there a setting to stop autoburning? What dazzle device are you using?
