*i am not sure if this is in proper section.*
how should i start? i recently got a hauppauge 2250 to record off my DirecTv service (analog)
but the colors seem too bright. im not sure how to describe it so i will post a screenshot:

as you can see my recording has a certain greenish tint discoloration and well i was hoping
that someone is willing to give me some suggestions on how to fix this problem. please help

Can you try to change video image properties ? I suggest you to set less contrast and shift a little hue-tint that's all you can do.
Analog captures from digital shows that has been output to analog decrease quality a little even you grab your shows with S-Video output. -
thank you so much. i messed with contrast and hue as you instructed and it made a big difference. im gonna keep messing with those settings until i find the right ones. wow i cant believe the solution was so simple lol. well again thanks for the help and info
