  1. I have been using the KMPlayer and Media Player Classic for awhile now with CoreAVC decoders that I installed 6 months ago. All of my videos have been running just fine until now. I've downloaded a few 1080p mkv videos that don't won't run in media player classic but will kind of work in the KMPlayer. It plays in the KMplayer but starts to form 'blocks' when there is motion and takes 30 seconds to fast forward. Any suggestions on a newer decoder or player that should run these HD video files?

    Try MPCHC.

  3. MPCHC with its internal multithreaded h.264 decoder, or with CoreAVC Pro (the regular CoreAVC isn't multithreaded) is about as good as it gets.
