  1. Can anyone help me get these two videos working. They got corrupted while I was copying it HD to HD. It shows the full size of the video is there but it won't play.

Is that all you have of the actual videos ? Are they supposed to be previews or short excerpts ? If so, it hardly seems worth the effort it will take to get them running again.

They look just like empty files. The WMV shows nothing in MediaInfo and the AVI has no audio and doesn't seem to contain any video, at least that I can find.

And chsn143 , in the future please use a more descriptive subject title in your posts to allow others to search for similar topics. I will change yours this time. From our rules:

  4. The files aren't empty but they are not what the claim to be. The AVI file does not have the standard AVI header and the WMV file does not have the usual WMV header data. And they are two small to contain any useful video. Fortunately, they aren't executable files either -- a common trick used by malware. Looking at a hex dump I see no identifiable information (most A/V file formats have identifiable data within them). Throw them away.

  5. They are just excerpts of the files that I'm trying to get working.

Examine the full files with MediaInfo or GSpot and see if they give you any information about the files. If not, you probably won't be able to recover anything.

    Best advice.

Waste of time to restore video already available in higher quality format.
