    I'm using WinAvi 8.0 to convert HD RMVB. It was fine but now after finishing converting one file, my pc shuts down when convertinh the next file. Tried AVS video converter same problem. Why? Is it because of the codec. Thank you.

    Have you checked the windows error application log?

    Or maybe overheating problems that cause the pc to shutdown. Does it happen if you convert anything else or does anything else that is very cpu demanding?
