    Hi,

I am looking for a small / fast TS test program that would quickly scan a TS file and report TS and MPEG errors. An additional Linux version would be nice as well so I can run it on the sat receiver itself. I need this to quickly determine if a recording needs to be repeated without having to go through many manual steps.

    Thanks...

I tried both but they are not what I am looking for (they do too much). I probably should have mentioned that it should have a command line (batch) interface to test a number of files for errors. It should not even attempt to repair or create output other than a log.

When I looked a TS-Doctor just now it didn't even report the errors another program (VideoReDo) reported.

Yes, it does and that's what I am currently using. But it doesn't do MPEG checking; so, if there are some MPEG artifacts it won't notice them.

Thanks. I found these tools a while ago but 'ec' does even less than VideoReDo; but it's very fast...
