  1. I been able to take input from my Tivo and getting them into Microsoft DV (NTSC) .avi files on my pc with adobe premeire just fine. My question is what can I use to convert those dv files into vcd or svcd all the programs i try say it needs a codec installed (Such as Virtualdub and TMPGEnc)

Basicly I want to capture tv shows from my tv and send them to a vcd or svcd.

    Any suggestions?

    Thnks

  2. Use tmpgenc to encode the .avi to vcd, svcd, etc..... The newest version has a wizard you tell it what kind of cd you want to make and point it to your dv .avi file. Then hit encode and your done.

    Hope this helps....

my guess is that you have to install one of those DV codecs, but
i can't remember the version i've seen mentioned here and there on
    this site.

    the filename might be:
"mcdv204.exe" so do a search via a search engine, but i htink that
someone here will give the correct filename and to d/l.

I have never done this (yet) but since i NOW have a DV cam, i'm eger to give it a worl, but at the
moment, i'm nee deep in this forum,
searching all the posts topics and
    reading anything and everything on
    DV and what-not. It's a real pain
in the ass, to sift through all
those post here and there, but its
the only way i'll find (I hope) topics on the DV capturing stuff.

As for me, i'm hoping to try and capture Satalete to DV and encode from this source, etc, etc.
I don't think that ANYONE here has tried this yet, so it (based on my findings here) looks like i'm the first one to try this out.
