  1. I've been sucessfully using the standard TMPGenc vcd templates for awhile. When I try using MPEG-2 templates, the screen is black/blank. I have WinDVD installed. Any suggestions.

  3. I had the same problem with Sefy's SeVCD template, but have since switched to his SxVCD with no problem. I still haven't figured out what wrong w/the SeVCD template.

  5. In order to play non-standard formats such as my SeVCD/SxVCD, you need a MPEG Decoder that can handle it, I know for example that WinDVD can play the SxVCD but on some installations it gives a Green Bar at the bottom, PowerDVD usually plays both formats smoothly, and LSX Suite 2.0 plays both on most installations, however, it might occour that your codec has been "broken" and there are two codecs fighting for the decoding, and that causes most of the trouble you guys are experiencing, in that situation, I would recommand to uninstall anything that came with or installed an MPEG codec, untill you get to such a point where you can't even play MPEG2 anymore, then reinstall just one of the codecs again and see if that fixes your problem.

  6. This is on a Windows 2000 laptop that is brand new. I just installed WinDVD and no other software. On a side note, the files play fine in my Philips 711, though ff/rew doesn't work. I think that'a player issue. Small mpeg2 files seem to work after moving the screen, though large movies do not. weird.

  7. I don't really recommand LSX Suite 2.0, but if you can't play the files at all, you might want to try it, from my experience it can play just about any MPEG format, even if non-standard, however I dislike it because of it's bad decoding quality.
