Problem with Letterbox using Smartripper

I haven't been able to change any of the settings using Smartripper, Specifically, I tried to rip a letterboxed copy from a dvd of shreck, but can't find how to change the settings from 4 x 3, pan & scan to letterbox. So the copy came out full screen 4 x 3. How do I do it?

Are you re-encoding ? ( TMPGenc or the likes ) - Its at the encoding part you will select the screen format..... 4:3 / 16:9....... And not at the Ripping.

I've tried it both ways. When I tried to make an MPG encode on the ripped DVD file using Tmpgenc, I couldn't figure out how to do it there either. Is there anything available in the way od documentation?
