    Excellent.

    I have to laugh at all the "burned bridges" and "never hired again" comments on the blog. Nobody really gives a shit anymore. If you do good work, have a good resume, and will work for their price, it doesn't matter what you said to your old boss or if you quit without 2 weeks notice.

    Actually I believe it is "bridges", as "burning your bridges behind you". Ensuring one can never use the path one used to get where they are. Here, he alienated his former boss so he cannot ever work there regardless if a permanent ever opened up there.

    Hmmm. I hear ringing in my ears....

    Gotcha, 'burning bridges' is not allowing you to go back. While 'burn your britches' is a point of anger. Never heard the 'burn your bridges' reference, or noticed it before.
