    Hello everyone!

I use FairUse Wizard 2.9 for Windows 32-bit and I want to update its x264 core. In the "Codec Settings" window it says "libx264 core 58 svn-736bm" which is dated Jan 29 2008.

Thank you so much in advance!

  2. You can't.

There have been several changes to the x264 core, with different command switches like an altered b-pyramid, mb-tree, weightp, presets, tunings etc...

The GUI for FUW would have to be changed to reflect the changes in the x264 core

You could try a different GUI, like handbrake, which is bundled with a more recent x264 build

vfw version is not the same as libx264 version, and both are different from x264cli main branch.

The most recent public build as of today is r1347, but it is cli only. vfw hasn't been updated

According to the OP, the FUW uses the libx264 version. Even if you dropped in a more recent libx264.dll , it wouldn't work because the switches are different from the old FUW gui.

Yeah I know vfw is not the same as libx264, I used the FUW with vfw from the link above and they worked fine. Just copy the x264vfw.dll from Windows System to your FUW and you are OK.
