I process my HD videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, and I make them 1280 x720. However, when I upload them to YouTube, they are not wide-screen (they have black bars on the side). However, they are high-def. I followed the YouTube instructions, but it's not working. Anybody know why?![]()

What export settings are you using? Container, video and audio codec?

The YouTube screen is wider than 1.78:1 now. I think it's something like 2:1, so it's natural for your 1280x720 videos to also have black bars on the sides.
They are widescreen, and the same aspect ratio as you uploaded. It's just they're not the same ratio as the screen. If for some reason you want them to fill the whole screen, make them 1440x720....they are not wide-screen
