Subtitles and ConvertXtoDVD 3

Am new to the forum and ask for your forgiveness should this query be a repeat. I am having difficulties including subtitle files when converting video files using ConvertXtoDVD. Don't know how to change the 'no subtitle' settings. Consequently, the subtitles are not included within conversion. Under titleset/menu parameters there are two settings listed referring to subtitles: the "Play without subtitles" button text in Audio/Subtitle settings menu - use text no subtitle, and the "Audio and subtitle menu" text in Root menu - Use text "No Subtitle".

I have added the subtitle streams where needed. I, therefore, assume changing one, if not both, of these settings will resolve my problem. But don't know how to do so. Moreover, I am trying to add two ,srt subtitles with the same file name - the video(s) are two separate files. Same movie, two parts. And I bet that that aspect will only exacerbate my problem.

A speedy reply will be greatly appreciated.

When I say the same files with the same name I mean that the .avi files have the same name as the .srt files. Each, both .avi and .srt files, is labeled a & b respectively.
