    hi i downloaded virtualdub Release build -- 1.9.7 (stable), 64-bit,virtualdubmod and Vobsub 2.23.now i extracted virtualdub and virtualdubmod fine everything went ok now the problem comes when i go to install Vobsub 2.23 now i read this guide https://forum.videohelp.com/topic272736.html and did everything it said but when vobsub tells me to choose the directory for the
    virtualdub i choose the right path and it keeps telling me invalid path!I really what to hardencode the .srt subs i have with my avis but this is giving me a road block what do you think i am doing wrong?Help is much apriciated thank you.

    You can try vsfilter instead, download it and copy the VSFilter.dll to the Virtualdub plugin folder and rename it to VSFilter.vdf.


    Or you could use autogk instead, load avi, load sub, convert, done.

    Or if you want more settings try avidemux, load avi, video->mpeg4 xvid and then filter->subtitle->subtitle filter and load sub, adjust font and size. Last save as a new avi.

    ok now i have a new problem the subs i have are like way off for the avis how do i sync the sub with the avi video?can i automaticlly sync it?i have never done this before so it makes me want to pull out my hair lol.

    I don't think you can automatically sync it...But you have lots of subtitle sync tools that will help you resync like Visualsubsync.
