We have acquired a movie with the following description:
"Movie 1969 720p BluRay x264.mkv"
It is 7.94gb in size. We are trying to figure out a way to play it on a standalone dvd player or a standalone bluray player. We tried to convert it to avchd using the multiavchd software with the resulting avchd file way to big to fit on a doulble layer dvd. Is there anyway to play this on a standalone player with out losing quality?

Split it or cut a bit using mkvtoolnix.
Or rerip from you original blu-ray... -
thanks baldrick,
We will give it a try. We did not rip this, we downloaded it. -
I use MultiAVCHD. Go into the Transcode area and put in the correct bitrate to make it fit, then re-encode and author. I use VCLAC to calculate bitrates.
