I have been looking for a tuner/capture card I have narrowed it to either Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI or the Pinnacle Studio PCTV Pro.

I am having trouble finding good reviews or detailed information. Is the hardware compression on the WinTV PVR worth the extra cost?? some reviews I have found say the capture quality is not so good.

I will be using it to watch tv, capture VHS to vcd/svcd. It will be running on a dual duron winxp pro system.
