I've tried (and tried again) but have not been able to get the DVD Preview working on XP SP3. The error message is

    Could not get interfaces
    No such interface supported

I've just purchased the Pro version, but unfortunately still get the same message.

I can view the video in both WMP11 and VLC. And have installed both AC3Filter and ffdshow (and enabled the MPEG2 codec) but still no joy.

    Can anyone please help?

If you launch the ffdshow video decoder config app... What do you have here:

    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

Thanks for your quick reply. Please see screen grab attached.

I also tried changing 'Multiple ffdshow instances' to "no limitations", which unfortunately didn't help.

    Any ideas?

I would try wacking the merit to the max.

Then when you load up a DVD in V2M - do you get a FFv icon in the system tray on the bottom right of your screen/taskbar?

No, I don't see a FFv icon in the system tray. Hopefully this suggests a solution.

    Thanks.

Is your "merit" now at the max? Can you try a reboot thereafter?

I'm also trying the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (DXDiag) to see if anything may suggest what the problem is.

Thanks for your help. I'll be back online in about an hour.

DirectX Diagnostic Tool didn't suggest any problems.

With DirectShow control Merit: still set on 'very high' I've rebooted and still get the same error when I attempt to preview the video.

To help, I've also tested DVD Shrink which has a preview which works using "Built-in Software Renderer" but not when using "System Default Renderer"

Hope you can suggest some ideas?
