Okay a few weeks ago i bought a 4-pin (on both sides) s-video cord and i plugged one side into an output insert on my Scientific Atlanta 3200HD Cable box and plugged the other into my laptop and i was wondering if i could send the video feed to my computer just to watch it completely no recording like in other words possesing my pc monitor

    [Cable Box]______{S-Vid4-pin}______[Laptop]
( Sending the display from the cable box to my laptop )
    You get it?

    Other notes

I have composite connected to my tv from the cable box would i have to take them out first?

Sorry I'm a Complete Newb when it comes to TV Audio And Cords.

Mkae sure the S-Video connection on your laptop can receive video.. Normally the S-video on Laptops are for sending out video only..

The S-Video only does video, you you also need to use the audio out from the box to the the laptop. Good Luck
