    Hi

I hope someone can advise me. I created a DVD data disc a couple of years ago on XP. The disc seemed to work. Until I have switched over to VISTA, the disc doesn't get recognized in the drive, in fact it freezes the laptop.

I know the disc worked fine in my XP machine and was created in Nero. Can anyone give me any idea why this is happening ? I don't get an errors or anything, just that the disc seems to be spinning and nothing else happens, and when I attempt to right click on the drive, it freezes up on me.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Do you have autorun enabled for your DVD drive? If so, try disabling it.

    Hi

Thanks for your response. I tried that, still the same. When the disc is inserted into the drive, it does nothing, but when attempted to right click I get 'Windows is not responding' and freezes
