    hi...

    look at this image that i framed from a music video ...



    what are these lines ?!

    these shows up in just few kind of files ... they have h264 or ... mpeg-2 codec ... sometimes in TS file sometimes in MKV ...
    this frame is from KMPLAYER ..
    i have these lines in all of players ...
    in VLC ... KMPLAYER ... JET AUDIO ... NERO SHOW TIME ... and .etc ...

    but in ever app the amount of this lines are different ...

    im newbie ... and i think u got it ...

  2. Probably interlacing, but it looks like someone might have resized an interlaced file

    Badly de-interlaced content is my guess - probably from the station feed itself if you got it from TV.
    I hate VHS. I always did.

    i have kmplayer .. how can i turn on deinterlacer ?!

    i have lot of these kind of videos ...

    it just happens in some frames that moves are faster than other frames ...

    Yes it is happening more and more of late - and an attempt at progressive video at the decoding level is conducted by those unknowledgeable.

    I would even venture to say that this is a film source decoded/played back with an inappropriate deinterlacing algorithm, which would accurately describe my first guess.

    As for re-encoding it, anybody know a good healing script on top of the conventional IVTC procedures?
    I hate VHS. I always did.
