Hi.
I just got one of these HDD RMVB players & I want to rip my own DivX & subtitles from my DVD collection.
I use Xilisoft DVD Ripper to rip the video, no problem.
My player can take SRT, SUB & SSA subtitles.
I have tried ripping with SubRip & DVDSubEdit, both uses OCR. The output is not that good:
- Subtitles are a few second earlier than the audio so can be a bit of a spoiler
- Some subtitles lines just flash on & off very quickly
- Some subtitles lines are not even there (speaking but no subs)
- Some letters are not recognizable e.g.'I' (big i) replaced with l (little L) or 1 (the number)
Tried VobSub but those SRT output are unrecognisable.
So I want to try to make a SUB file now & see if this is better.
Xilisoft Subtitle Ripper SUBs are unrecognisable (can also get IDX here). I can also get PDF, BMP, JPG & PNG output with this software.
With PGCDEMUX, I only get a SUP file.
Any advice to make a proper SUB or better SRT file?

vsrip.
Or use a dvd to divx/xvid converter that also includes the subtitles like autogk, handbrake, fairuse wizard, etc.
