Hi all,
I had a movie in avi format with .idx and .sub subtitle. When I play it with VLC player in my PC there's no problem. However, after I burnt it into a dvd and played in my divx enable dvd player, the subtitle appear does not tally with the conversation. What could be the possible cause? Is there any way to rectify this?
Thanks.

Not tally with the conversion? I guess it means not in sync with the video.
You could try make a .divx with the video and the subs using AVIAddXSubs and see if it works better. A divx certified player should support .divx. If not then try convert the idx/sub to srt as srt subtitles may work better.
