    Hi,

    Whats the best tool to create high quality mkv files (video x264, audio aac) ??

    Main sources are DVD (recorded from TV with standalone dvd recorder) or captured satellite mpeg-2 streams.

    megui and try different profiles, you might find someone optimized for captured tv material.

    And if you think it's too complex use the builtin one click encoder in megui.
