Panasonic A350 cd-r, cd-rw ?

Hello !
I have a Panasonic A350 and have tried to burn a VCD with a cd-r, but so far no luck. Cd-rw works almost everytime but not always.
Does anyone knows what the best brand to use for Cd-rw is, so it works with A350?
Cd-r defenetly don´t work with the discs i tried (TDK-blue layer,KODAK-silver layer).
But maybee someone has found a cd-r that works fine?!
So i if you did, what kind of disc did you use ?, Brand? Layer color ?
