help mp4 to dv

I have an mp4 file I am trying to convert to DV so I can edit it in Final Cut. I have a mac and I can play the file in VLC but quicktime wont open it. Usually I can use quicktime to convert MP4 to DV but its not working this time.

What program for mac will open anything like VLC and also convert to DV?

I could play a moment of it in VLC but everything else (QT Player, MPEG Streamclip) report the file is corrupted.

I have an mp4 file

it's not an "MP4", it's a BluRay file (HD, Profile4.0, …) wrapped in "mpeg-Transport-Stream".
Its wrapper and its contents are not compatible with QuickTime (and its wrapper is compatible with MPegStreamClip but not its contents).
For free, you could use Handbrake (and after, convert the resulting transcoded file to DV)

That worked for the sample you provided, sneaux. I used MPEG Streamclip for the DV conversion.
