Since the digital conversion the only TV channels I can get are the virtual ones, eg 8-1 8-2 etc. My DVR does not accept these channels. Do I need a new DVR or am I missing something here? The Accurian DVR I have is fitted with both HDD and CD recording devices and any new one would have to be configured like that. Any ideas from you experts?

Does the Accurian DVR have a digital ATSC tuner?

If it does, set up your antenna and scan. You should get the available digital channels.

As of the analog shutdown, there is no longer a Ch8.

If your DVR lacks a digital tuner, you will need to use an ATSC converter box.

I think the problem is simply my DVR not having a digital tuner. It looks like I need to research available products to see if I can find what I need. That might not be easy. Very few stand alone recorders have both an HDD and CD drive.

As a workaround, you can try an ATSC SD Coupon convert box. Two of interest,

Channel Master CM-7000 has S-Video out + audio

EchoStar/Dish DTV-PAL has a programmable timer for channel switch.
