Hey guys
I have a problem while trying to convert the rush hour 2 divx to mpeg using tmpgenc. It freezes every time at 65%. I tried usoing virtauyal dub for the sound first but i still have the same problem. Any suggestions for solutions.

try a program called divfix, it will rebuild the divx files index.
1st stip it then 2nd, rebuild it. This could be the problem.
Also, what methods are you using to encode? -
Your TMGEnc settings... vcd, svcd, framrate, bitrate, resolution, audio bitrate

well, if you are putting it on 2 CDs, i am sure you can pump up the video bitrate sum. Find out where you are going to split it and us CDFIT for the best possible bitrate. As for the freezing, i imagine the divx is encoded at 128kbps mpeg 3 audio so encode the VCD at that. Did you strip the index and rebuild it?
