OK...I just got a few movies from a friend in AVI format. However, for each movie there are 2 AVI files....CD1 and CD2...as in first half and second half of the movie (not sure why, but whatever).

What's the best way to burn them to DVD (for DVD player) as 1 (one) movie??

  2. Join them using virtualdub, assuming they have the same codecs and characteristics. Then use a authoring program to author them in dvd format. Once authored, burn using Imgburn.

DVD Flick. Add the first half, then open the title and add the second half. DVD Flick will produce a DVD structure ready to burn that has a single combined title. Burn with Imgburn as already suggested. No need to join first.
