moving unfinished video project to new computer

Hello all,
I have an eMac that is outdated and I have a project on it that is not yet finished. I bought a new Macbook Pro and would love to transfer my project to the new computer.
I'm using Final Cut Express for both just an older version to newer version. Will keep it 4:3 ratio. How do I transfer?

So I assume that all the project files are stored internally on the eMac?

if so, Hook a FW cable between the Macbook Pro and the eMac,
Target Disc Boot the eMac so that it mounts as an external HD
to the MacBook Pro, and then copy (assuming you were organized)
the Project Folder from the eMac to the MBP. This would include
your clips, subclips, and sequence, as well as any extra files
(jpgs, tiffs, audio clips, etc). Once done, dismount the eMac,
disconnect the FW cable, shut the eMac down.

Open the Sequence in the newer Version of FCE once copied over,
and let it re-render the audio and video to the new scratch folder
on the MBP, thus getting everything right for the new system.

I do have it on my external HD, I can't believe I didn't think about this! I'm not sure how easy though it will transfer because some of the files oddly end up in my trash. (Another topic.) But I am going to try to transfer or create the project from my External HD. I can't believe I had to ask this question.....
