    Hello,

    I´d like to convert the video only part (the movie itself) of a DVD to avi (or mpeg). How could this be accomplished please?

    Have you got a MAC or PC?
    If MAC, then I use MPEG Streamclip to convert to mpg.
    Its free.
    (you may get a PC version, but I am not 100% sure of this...)

    I´m aware of these programs however my question is how to grab and covert the video only (movie) using these prograns please.
