Hello guys, I'm new here and know a little of everything, but not alot of anything...
I got a question and don't know where to put it.

I burned some family pictures to a dvd using nero8. They play fine in a slideshow format. My problem is: I lost the original pictures and want to get the pictures back off of the dvd, so that i can save them on a usb. How do i get them back to single .jpg???
Any help guys?? I really want to thank you in advance...so you guys rock!! -SK

Just copy them off of the DVD to the USB drive.

If you converted them to a slideshow using NERO they are not just .jpg's anymore and you will probably have to use some sort of screen capture using your software player on the PC to get them.

The problem is that if the photos were hi-res from a scanner or digital camera they were scaled down and you will never get the hi-res version back.

This is not a solution to your current problem, but may be of help in the future. Some forum members create a folder with the originals and burn that to the disc as well as the slideshow, for backup purposes.

I never used Nero for burning video, plus a data folder, so I don't know if it does it correctly. (The DVD created is still playable using a regular DVD player.) ImgBurn (free) can do both, if Nero can't.

Thank you for the advice guys. I'll give the screen capture a try, Noahtuck. Sorry about the animated sig..thanks for the heads up lordsmurf . Kinda odd that a site about everything video(ie moving pics) and having animated smilies would ban an animated sig , but rulz r rulz. I shall pay more attention next time. Thanx again and peace -SK
