    How long does it take to convert avi to mpg i heard it takes about 6 hours is that correct?

    About right depending on your PC. But that is a average.

    Depends on the length of the avi, the resolution, the bitrate, and your CPU

    I have a Tbird 1.2Ghz and it takes me from 1.3~3.5x the runtime depending on what settings I use.
