    What's really funny is I hadn't been in for about a week and this was on top of the front page...
    He dug up a 9 month old thread and was quite charming about his introduction.

    This goes beyond unusual for a first timer. I think you're being had.

    Who did you p!$$ off lately?

    Looks more like someone you hassled set up a new account then searched for a suitable unrelated thread just to get back at you.

    Unless you're a habitual flamer and nothing stands out, you could check your own posts and it should be obvious who might have a motive.

    Or even better, just ignore it.
    There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
