I inherited this from my mom, and the only trouble is that if you put in a full screen film, it automatically stretches the picture to fill the screen. It's annoying as hell.

has anyone else had one and figured out a way to fix this flaw? Maybe a Firmware update?

Please help. I watch too many old non WS movies and TV shows to put up with this...

They don't appear to have a website...at least not a very useful one. If it's adjustable, it would likely be in the setup menu, otherwise it is likely set to display full screen to prevent screen burn-in.

And you can't complain about free.

  3. Is the TV set to 4x3? If so and you're using HDMI, use component.

yeah, I'm not complaing about free.

the funny thing is, with widescreen DVDs it changes when you press the button that's supposed to change it from FS to WS etc.

On Full screen stuff, nope. I was hoping for a firmware update or something.

I watch a lot of old TV shows and can't stand to see the image stretched out. It's annoying. I may just sell it and but another one.
