I could not think that this was too difficult.
I have search every video application I could find and none seems to be able to do this, I just could find 3 turnarouns but none of them please me.
I need to record myself playing my doublebass along with GarageBand backin audio. My setup is, MiniDv cam to record video, Mackie audio interface to record audio and GarageBand to play the backing tracks. To do this I find 3 ways:
1.- Record Video in QT and audio in GarageBand. Then export both recordings and sync them in iMovieHD (perhaps it can be done in QT also).
2.- Use a screen video capture app (they all seem to be able to record external audio and system audio). Open QT, GarageBand and the screen capture app, select just the video window in QT with the screen captura app. Then start the 3 apps record and stop the 3 apps.
3.- Use an app called wirecast that allows to record video and external audio while it plays any audio file loaded into the app. While this is very goos it has two drwbacks. The app is 400$ and there is no way to mix the final output (both audio get mixed in the recording).
Is there another way I can do this?
Please easy of use is mandatory. I use it to record myself practicing, so I can't stop after each recording and loose time in the computer.
