Wrong camera format and wrong OS.

Windows Vista Home lacks most any multi-media support.

Describe your project in more detail. Where are you planning to uplink?

    What resolution do you expect?

How are you storing the daily captures?

How much is your budget for this? Are you being paid?

Are you taking a laptop as well? What model? Specs?* How big is the hard drive? What software will be used to edit and upload?

Where are you planning to upload? Hotels are mucho grande expensive for this. That is if you can find one.

    * How did you find a computer with Vista Home? Must be el cheapo maximus. Most all laptops come with Vista Home Premium. That will help with playback but Windows Movie Maker never heard of AVCHD format.

PS. I'm watching Ewan McGregor's DVD set "Long Way Round" Motorcycle trip around the world (with video). Suggest you rent it. He had corp sponsorships. Big budget. Planning was so so. Lots of fuckups.

Details of system, os, and service packs installed.

IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controller ... recommend visiting system manufacturer for updated device driver for this device (not Microsoft) specifically for your version of vista only.

Same for usb (universal serial buss controllers)

In windows movie maker you must select device to use ... dose it show up ? ... try another usb cable.

I also have a sanyo Xacti water proof camera that doesn't work with it either.
I feel as though when you buy a decent camera it should work when you plug it into the computer .. oh well
In movie maker it ask me to import it doesn't ask the device. then when i push import it does nothing. Could i get software that would make this all work?
