IS IT THE DVD PLAYER ,HELP!

I ripped a dvd to my hard drive,used dvd to svcd,used cce,then used nero to make video cd.Everything worked smooth.Went to play it on my dvd player pioneer dv414 and it skips.Played it on pioneer dvc503 5 disc and it played fine.Perfict picture, perfict sound,but there was a big black bar down the side of the t.v. but it ran smooth.Then took it to the computer to play it on roxio vcd player and it plays fine.Anybody have any feedback on if i can fix this problem so I can play it in my dvd player.

If your player doesn't play the burned CD, there's nothing to do about it. You'll just have to re-encode. (or maybe try to burn it again at a lower speed. I have problems with CDs burned faster than 4x sometimes).

So did you make a VCD or SVCD, and did you burn it as a VCD or SVCD?
Did you burn the mpg or a bin/cue file with Nero? (bin/cue should work if Nero is 5.5.6.4. or newer). What setting you used for the encoding?

I tried another movie.I ripped it.Then I used dvd2svcd.Then when it got to the part for the cinema encoder part I cancelled it and used TMPGEnc instead.Everything worked ,split the movie with TMPGEnc.Then I burned it with nero.It worked fine in both players.But only one problem.I noticed after i used TMPGEnc and I looked at the mpeg with windows media player that the quality wasnt that good you could see it start to digitize.Same with my new copy.I've burned at 4 and 24 and they all look the same.The ones where i used the cinema craft encoder look great on the computer.Is there a certain version of cinema craft I should have.The one I am using I found on morpheus.Or is there a way to improve the quality of TMPGEnc when I make it an mpeg.Any help would be appreciated

If you look in the dvd player compatibility section on this website you would find that this player does not support svcd but only vcd. I can't even get that to work though as my player is broken somehow to play only pressed dvds. reencode as a vcd or use a different player would be some solutions to try out.

I tried a new player pioneer dv343 and the copy where I used the cce and burned it as an svcd the picture looked great!Thanks for the help.
