  1. Hello! A friend of mine recently bought a Samsung DVD-P181 !
After seeing a couple of divx movies he ran into a problem....so it's like this...i burned him a few dvds with divx movies...and those movies which have 2 cd's don't display the second subtitle! The second video file runs with the first cd's subtitle!!!
I have to mention that on a pc everything works just fine and that the subtitles are "srt" type! Also the name of the video files is the same as the name of the associated subtitle!
Do u have any idea about this problem?! Thanks!

Maybe this DVD player only reads the first 8 characters in the file name. If the 2 subtitle files have the same name for the first 8 characters, this could be your problem. You'll need to re-name the files to be different within 8 characters and re-burn them. You might want to use re-writable discs. Also, do not do multi-session burning but do "disc at once" burning.

My old Philips DVP-642 was sometimes fussy. It would refuse to see some files on a disc even though I burned using disc at once and the files would read on a PC fine. I use re-writable discs, so I would just burn it again and then it would work. I could never explain why sometimes things were fine and sometimes they were not, but it's a very cheap player.
