  1. Of course I'm new to all this. I've figured out how to convert all those .rar files to .bin and .cue. Then I tried to convert to ISO each time I get a tiny ISO file and a great big .DAT file. When I try to burn it to disk all it recognizes is the ISO file and I spoil another blank CD. Could someone take the time to explain to me in simple language how to do this properly.

  2. Hi!

I don't know which tool you're using to convert you're cue/bin files to iso ............ but it's NOT NECESSARY anyhow !!!

Get your hands on a copy of CDRWIN to burn your CDRs. It accepts cue/bin files as cd-images.

    Hope this helps,

  6. I used CDRWin to burn the bin and cue files onto disk, I ended up with 5 folders on the disk, CDI, Ext, MPEGAV, Segment and VCD, but nothing I can play with Media Player :(

  7. Go to the "MPEGAV" folder and open the *.dat file with your player (WMP or PowerDVD...).

  9. as Martok said, the DAT file in the MPEGAV folder is playable in WMP. DATs are MPG (MPEG-1 files) with a special header. anyways, i recommend using CDRWin to burn the BIN/CUE, Fireburner works good too. though Nero can do it, i don't recommend it as it was not built around the premise of BIN/CUEs, it just incorporated it into its architecutre, so once in a while it may not burn it correctly, but its your choice. However unless u want to have an MPEG file on your computer i dont recommend u VCDGear the BIN->MPG like Simoncon suggested. Taking the BIN/CUE through VCDGear to make an MPEG and then burning that MPEG in Nero as a VCD just ads an extra step that is useless when u could make a VCD with the BIN/CUE in any one of the aforementioned programs.
