    Total physical memory: 3.84GB
    Available pm: 1.91GB
    Total virtual memory: 7.87GB
    Available vm: 5.68GB
This is from the system information.

I did a scan and here are the results:

    Maximum Memory Capacity: 4096MB
    Currently Installed Memory: 0MB
    Available Memory Slots: 2
    Number of Banks: 2
    Dual Channel Support: Yes
    CPU Manufacturer: AuthenticAMD
    CPU Family: AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-64 Model 8, Stepping 2
    CPU Speed: 2200 MHz
Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.

but it must have some memory, maybe too much
    can I remove some?
    any help?
    cheers

  2. 1.) If you have almost 4GB of memory, turn off the virtual memory. It's slower then your actual memory.

2.) What did you scan it with? What are trying to do? More details please.

C:\Windows\System32\msinfo32.exe ... use it, if ram is still being reported as 0

Don't use that scanner as it can be way off.

Mine > Maximum Memory Capacity: 1048576 MB ... it's just got to be broke, that's a lot of memory

Disabling vm is not a bright idea no matter how much memory you have installed, the os was designed around vm by default, so disabling it will make the system run like molasses.
