Even though Magic DVD Ripper is a piece of garbage...we'll try to ignore that for now. A "rip" of a DVD is an exact copy of a DVD that will contain a VIDEO_TS folder.....is that what you have?.....and what size is the VIDEO_TS folder.

Some DVD players can play (some) AVI files.
Copy some onto a DVD, as a data disc, and see what happens.
Use a DVDRW if you have one to experiment.

    Use ImgBurn.

on image burn---- on the source part i browse file and when i select films and open that it then gives me a list of the films in there but whenwever i open one of them up then there is nothing there to download?

You can drag and drop a whole folder in imgburn. It will ask you if you want it to be the root directory. If you want multiple folders you can do that too as long as it will fit on your disc.

Also if these aren't divx or xvid avis and your dvd player CAN'T play them you will need to convert them to an actual dvd or dvds depending on how many and how large the files are.

There are many many programs that can make dvds from avi divx files (assuming they are divx or xvid - you can use a program like gspot or mediainfo to find out exactly codec was used to make the avi files - the codec is the actual video type that the video uses to play in the compressed form).

Examples of programs to use to convert to dvd include format factory, super, avstodvd, and mulitavchd. Some are simpler than others but this list all includes a lot of customization options. Please note the faster you computer is the faster the conversion time will be naturally.

  7. Instead of clicking in folders once you get to the avi press select files.

    Heres a very brief tutorial...

Edit: 2nd Image is wrong once you go open folder and search for it you select it then press select folder button and for AVI's press the open files then when you get to it or them select them and press select files button.

Also you can drag 'n' drop the avi's or folder onto imgburn and just press burn.

Then just re-rip your original DVDs. Those files you have are highly compressed crap and will never look as good as your originals ever again.

Since you've already got that Magic software.....just set it to give you a real DVD and not some compressed file.
