my friend and i argued how much many gigs an hd rip is. Looking up the Dark Knight i can see mainly 2.25's and a 8.5's. Most rips i've seen have been 2.25 720p with 5.1 and outstanding picture quality.
does anybody have an opinion on the two types?
when i get home i might post comparison shots between the two.

A HD rip - i.e. directly from the Blu ray source, is huge - 25+ GB in many cases. What you are comparing is downloaded, re-encoded, super compressed versions taken from HD sources. Do not, for an instance, believe that you are looking at anything remotely like the original source.

I didn't know Warner Bros. or DC Comics made a digital download version of the dark knight.
