Hello All.Could someone please tell me if I buy the JVC GY-HM100, and I have Winows Vista and use Sony Vegas, will I be able to transcode the format of this camcorder to a format that Sony Vegas can use?I do not have an Apple Computer and Final Cut Pro?And if I can, will the quality suffer?Thank you.

It looks like it records in HDV mpeg2 and it should work in vegas. And:
"For PC users, video can be recorded as ISO Base Media, which is compatible with virtually all major Non-Linear editors. "

But I would wait for more camera reviews that mention anything about vegas editing before buying.

It seems to have options to record long GOP 25 Mb/s 1440x1080i HDV or 35Mb/s 1920x1080i XDCAM EX both natively supported by Vegas Pro but the "native Quicktime" probably would need conversion.

So you need to search for a "native Quicktime" to uncompressed or Cineform conversion. Or just shoot HDV or XDCAM EX.

I agree you should wait for a solution for Vegas to be explained if you intend to shoot "native Quicktime".
