DVD recorder error message 54037380

I have a Funai B2737 DVD recorder - it's started coming up with error message E4 54037380 when I put in a blank & unused -RW x4 disc. It's still accepting -RW x2 and -R x4. Has anyone any idea what the problem is. The DVD recorder is a couple of years old.

Try cleaning the laser lens. A GOOGLE search seems to indicate that this error is related to LED power.
