  1. I converted a Xdiv file that includes titles to Divx, so I can play it on my DVD that supports divx. I found out that the titles disappeared.
I used Virtualdub, no filter, compression to Divx.
    Any idea? solution?

  2. DivX players also play XviD. If you tried the AVI and it didn't play, then it's for some reason other than it being XviD - Q-Pel or GMC perhaps. Anyway, can you explain what you mean by "the titles disappeared"? This is subtitles you're referring to? If so, do you want to burn or embed or hard code them into the video, or keep them separate? Obviously, if it's subtitles you're asking about they weren't embedded into the video originally, if they somehow managed to "disappear".

  3. 1-my DVD player says "error..." when I try to play the disk
2- there are 2 files there, 1 is the movie 2 is the subtitles. I refer to subtitles that "diappeared after the conversion.
3 -I do not care if it is separate or embeded, as long as it can be played.
4- does the player have any setting to play it?

  4. 4. How is anyone supposed to know the answer to that question if you don't? That kind of information should be in your manual. Usually you name the subs the same as the movie (Movie.avi and Movie.srt). Different players support different subtitle formats, with SRT being perhaps the most common. With some players you turn on the subs before the AVI begins playing; with others you turn them on after it begins playing. Have you tried to use the subtitle button on the remote control yet?
