There are currently no tools like DVD Shrink for BluRay content. Like Baldrick says it is possible to shrink the movie by re-encoding it, but you will lose all the menus and extras. Although I think a DVD Shrink type tool will eventually exist for BluRay, that day may be more than 1 year from now.

jdobbs is working on a beta release of BD Rebuilder right now, which will allow one to shrink a Blu-ray down to either a 25gb BD-R or a DVD-9. We are all waiting with baited breath for the release, which he has posted should be soon.

Change the mode to 2-pass instead of CRF mode, and checkmark lock the size, enter the size

I attempted to download ripbot. I dont even know what type of file format that download is in because I'm apparently weak at this. My question is if I go into a ripped Blu ray and click on stream I am given a list of various files. If i choose the largest file and open it to burn in img burn, will it include the sound? How do I know which file is which in there?

Okay, there are some really, really brilliant people out there. In fact, most of the people who look/write in this forum are pretty damn smart. How has no one figured out how to compress a 50 gig blu-ray to a 25 gig blu-ray in a simple, dvdshrink like program? I, myself, am dumber than a bag of rocks when it comes to this stuff. But I'm happy to give positive reinforcement to anyone who attempts to crack the code. Come on, you can do it! (See?)

as for Jman is concerned did not notice any advice from him what doeshe go from forum to forum slamming peole anyway thats all i have to say about that and i will not respond to any childish post if he slams thanks again keep up the good work and i will keep on learning lb peace i'm out of here for now -
I have found a few BD discs that need to be ripped to the hard drive with AnyDVD HD, then I use tsMuxeR (In the RipBot 'Tools' folder.) to choose the correct .m2ts stream and the desired audio track. Then 'Start muxing'. I open the resulting .m2ts file in RipBot and the file converts to MKV 2-pass with no problems.
I have also found two BD discs that wouldn't convert properly. One I have exchanged and now works for conversion. The second I couldn't exchange and will just play back on the player. I suspect it is also damaged, but nothing I can see. It's not a very recent disc, so I doubt it's a decryption problem with AnyDVD. Some BD discs may have a improperly created structure or damaged during manufacturing or packaging. But most discs should work without problems.
I didn't need to install any .net versions, they were already on Vista. But make sure you use the recommended versions of the assist programs listed on the RipBot page. Other versions of those programs may not work correctly.
The beta version of BD Rebuilder is now available. https://forum.videohelp.com/topic361854.html I haven't tried it yet.
