Here's the deal. I have to load a program's Install CD on to a new laptop with no DVD/CD drive. So, I have to copy the program's Install Disc on to a flash drive, creating an ISO, and then be able to use it as an ISO when loading on to the new PC. Thus looking for some free ware to do this with.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Create the iso using imgburn. Mount as a virtual drive using daemon tools or virtual clonedrive.

Now..any REALLY good FREE back up software? She has it on her old PC, and probably what would be best is to back up the old and move to the new.

    Thanks in advance

I've always found it easier to simply back everything up manually. At least in cases like this for moving to a new system. Backup software will generally back up the whole drive or whole folders, which you typically don't want for a new install. Whole system backups are more for restoral after an incident.

  6. Why use an ISO?
Just drag the CD contents into a folder then click on the setup.exe file to install.

  7. Networked? Share the CD/DVD drive on one computer. Access it from the other.

What Moviegeek said - I do it all the time. In fact, I have my 8-gig flash as my "toolbox" complete with antivirus scanners, Hijack This, MBAM and others and run them & install tools onto a client's hard drive straight from my flash drive. Fast & easy, all my utilities are immediately available, and viruses can't prevent me from going to the websites & downloading malware fixes that way.
