What tv tuner? Most tv tuners does not support HD....and you need of course also some hd tv channels.

What sort of HD channels do you have? Over the air or satellite/cable?

You should have a manual that came with the PC, detailing the hookups. I assume you have a RF Type-F cable hookup on the PC? What brand and model of PC? You can also look in 'Control Panel>System>Device Manager' (Classic View) and you should see your tuner card listed.

Media Center should be able to set up your tuner card for available channels.

Unless the PC was plastered with HDTV stickers and you have ATSC/QAM references in your manual or help files, you bough a simple analog tuner.

We need the tuner model number or main computer model number to do any research.

  6. Hook up antenna or cable coax. Use ATSC or QAM tuner. The software usually has a search-for-channels function.
