  1. When I use the remote hack listed on the compatibility list for the zenith dvd2201, it gives me different output than what is listed there. Does anyone know the correct sequence i should use?

  2. Found this on jungle's site from acustomer, don;t know if it is any use to you.

"Since then I tested Region 2 DVDs (play Lovely). PAL and NTSC SVCDs on Blue 80Min CDrs
and Gold 90Min CDrs (burnt @ 12x). I also tested some of my older VCDs 74Min/80Min/90Min.
All played very Nicely (on my JVC player sometimes the video and sound lost sync,
but not with this player) I emailed Jungle this morning regarding the Region Hack
and got a reply by lunch time.
It is as follows: 1. Press "STOP" twice. 2. Press "SETUP". 3. Press "VOL+ & VOL-"
repeat the sequence twice in quick secession (+, -, +, -).
The TV screen will display "VER #" Press left/right cursor keys to change the
    # -(1,2,3,4,5,6 for desired Zone Code) For All Code - Press 255. (4)
Press "SETUP". The system Zone setting is then completed.
When in "255" mode RCE encoded discs work just as good as standard Region1 Discs.
I haven't tested for Macrovision, but there isn't a hack or option
to turn it on or off (to my knowledge).
This is a great investment for anyone after a DVD Player..
it beats the hell out of my old JVC which cost over 3 times the price
and didn't do half the things.
I found the default output settings to be a little bright
and caused the blacks to appear greyish. I suggest these: Brightness :
NORMAL Contrast : +1 It even played most of a really poor quality CDr
I have which can't be read by my own writer which made it.
I'm yet to Test DVD-Rs, CDrw, or MP3 Discs on it."
