I need to dump an edited sequence (sound/video) back to tape. I will record it on a Sony DCR-105 camerarecorder.

The camera records the signal from the firewire in 4:3 but the sequens is in 16:9. In camera mode the camera records in 16:9.

    Whats wrong?

I have read the manual. No help.

    Anyone?

    Is that a mini-disc?
I don't think you can go back to anything in Europe...

The Sony DCR-105 is a dv kamera. The camera records the signal from the firewire in 4:3 but the sequens is in 16:9.

all video is recorded at 720x480/576 there is no other spec for miniDV. what the camera does for 16x9 is set a flag that marks it as wide pixel format. make sure your editor project is set for dv wide pixel to maintain the flag.
